Journey Student Ministries
“To Love and Live like Jesus.”
If you are in 4th-12th grade, Journey exists to help you find your purpose and thrive through your tween and teenage years. At Journey you will find like-minded students that know how to have fun and desire to follow Jesus together. Whether you are new to faith, just trying it out for the first time, or have been a Christ-follower your whole life, you are welcome here.
Here are the details:
Youth Group
Youth Group provides the meeting space for the two branches of Journey (Journey Mid, and Journey High). Youth Group is structured in a way that you will feel comfortable regardless of your unique personality or social make-up. Each student is given the opportunity to share what is happening in their lives followed by an engaging discussion surrounding Biblical truths that connect to real-life led by one of the many gifted Journey leaders. Journey is a welcoming, enriching, and fun environment that encourages each student to take their next step of faith, be it the 1st or the 1,000th step.
Journey Mid – (4th-7th grade) Journey Mid meets on SUNDAY NIGHTS.
Journey High – (8th-12th grade) Journey High meets on Sunday nights.
While these two branches of Journey meet separately for youth group for age-specific experiences, they also function together for fun outings, service projects, and winter retreats. If you’re interested in knowing when the next meeting is, contact our office at office@hopekzoo.com!
While you’re here, be sure to check us out on instagram.
Journey is structured intentionally for our students to grow spiritually in three key areas:
Head | Heart | Hands
Head: Biblical principles and understanding. Our goal is to present these eternal truths in an accessible way with a focus on giving students a foundation of faith and the tools to be self-feeders.
Heart: Taking what we know and helping it settle deeper into our being so that we might believe what we know. This is fostered through life-giving relationships, healthy and safe community, and open opportunities for honest conversation. This is also modeled by the leaders.
Hands: Taking what we know and believe and putting it into action, through service in church, and in community.
